My Writingy writing
I made a list of the things I wanted to do. There were only two things without which I couldn't live: mother my children and write books.
—Toni Morrison

I have always loved to write.

When my muse visits, characters and
scenes fill my head. Sometimes the words
come so quickly, I cannot get them down on
paper fast enough.

While in high school, I had poems, concert
reviews and articles, with at least one short
story, published in various teen magazines.
We were a loosely-knit group of young
free-lance correspondents— glad to have
the credentials that got us into celebrity press conferences and backstage at rock concerts—who worked for peanuts and the prestige of seeing our names in national print every so often.

I have hundreds of pages of poems, creative pieces, essays, short stories, and unfinished novels that I have written through the years tucked away in files and boxes, waiting patiently for me to sort it all out.

Eventually, my writing will find its way online.
