Civic Duty

It is not my intention to write a slew of movie reviews, but we see so many films, I do want to keep a record of those I especially enjoyed and the reasons why. Otherwise, I forget what made the film so special. It is also interesting for me to watch a film a second time, read what I've written, and see if I agree with myself. *Smile*

Civic Duty 'Civic Duty' just came out in DVD. I never heard of it before. It never made the local theaters and must have been an indy we missed. Entertainment Weekly magazine recommended it highly; and I agree. . .it was very well done. In the shadow of 911, a man suspects that his new mid-eastern neighbor is a terrorist. All evidence points in that direction—or does it? When he cannot convince the FBI (or his fiancée), he investigates on his own. It is chilling and suspenseful with strong performances and an omigod-I-can't-believe-it ending.
