About This Sitebout this site
However carefully one goes, [a place can] hold you. You leave little bits of yourself fluttering on the fences, like rags and shreds of your very life.
—Katherine Mansfield

This site has been online, in one form or another, since the summer of 2002. It started as the personal pages for my initial website, Summersong's Inspiration for the Spirit, and was known for a long time simply as "Summersongs."

The name changed to Patpourri when the domain, www.patpourri.com, became available.

What is potpourri? pot·pour·ri [poh-poo-ree, poh-poo-ree] noun
  1. a mixture of dried petals of roses or other flowers with spices,
kept in a jar for their fragrance.
  2. a musical medley.
  3. a collection of miscellaneous literary extracts.
  4. any medley, miscellany, or anthology.
  5. any miscellaneous mixture or mixture of miscellaneous things.
Synonyms : melange, pastiche, hodgepodge, mishmash, patchwork.

Patpourri is a quiet place for me to hang my proverbial hat—post journal entries and photos I want to share with family and friends—and fill with all the things that are special to me.
